Our Origin Story (written 2019)

Christie, Nick, and Miranda have been friends since high school, and Nick (aka biggest av geek known to man) got Christie and Miranda hooked; we are obsessed with aviation zest.

We are from Colorado (actual natives)!

Nick has been inundated with aviation since he was a kid; his dad has been a A&P mechanic for the airlines for decades. He has never not had a job at an airport since he wants to be around planes all the time! His additional hobbies include photography, videography, and Great Danes!

Miranda is our salty little ball of fire! She is the spark and spunk of the trio, and she leads a career in music education. Though she doesn’t come from an aviation background, she is obsessed! Seriously, she finishes entire seasons of disaster documentaries in two days. No joke.

Christie has a mechanical engineering background, having a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree. She is the brains behind the operation and is constantly striving to absorb more and more information about the aviation industry and its disasters.

The three of us are excited to share our passion for aviation with you and prove to you that this industry is constantly striving to be safer for all.

The Story Continues (written 2024)

We met Caitlyn when she was hired as Christie’s intern in October of 2022, and she became our great travel friend and all-around buddy. As the token Gen Z of the group, she has taken on the seemingly insurmountable task of managing our social media with the hopes of one day being viral…or something. She is from a little bit of everywhere USA and is working on her master’s in accounting and CPA with the hopes of starting her career at one of the Big 4.

We met James through a mutual friend in band (aka his spouse) though it took until August of 2023 for all of us to meet! An instant connection was formed, and James took over editing in the summer of 2024, excited to be the first to listen to our absolute chaos and making each episode into a well-crafted work of art.
